Accepting help can sometimes make us feel that others consider us to be incompetent. So, when you offer to help your friend, and they decline, offer again. Be specific and suggest a time a task you want to do.

Get a group of friends together to tackle a big project. Outside is best, then your friend won't feel the need to entertain if they're not up to it.
